The final
round of Small Countries Division at the 2012 CEV Men’s Junior Volleyball
Championship is underway in Motherwell, Scotland. The tournament entered third
day on Thursday, April 5 and three matches were played. One of the matches featured
San Marino and Northern Ireland.
San Marino
proved to be better in the game and posted 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-12) victory
over Northern Ireland. It was the first victory for San Marino in the
competition. Northern Ireland won its previous match against Ireland but failed
to overcome Sam Marino squad.
BENVENUTI Lorenzo of San Marino was
named top scorer of the match as he contributed 21 points.
