Following a
wonderful performance at the Qualification Tournament of Brasilia Open, the 3rd-seeded
Canadian beach volleyball duo of Christian Redmann and Ben
Saxton got eliminated in the next stage of the tournament.
They played two matches in the Main-Draw but
failed to prove their endeavours. In the first match , German Erdmann-Matysik defeated the Canadians in just two sets. The German opponents proved to be
better in every aspect of the game and finished the match,
2-0 (21-14, 25-23). The match lasted for only 38 minutes.
Later in day, Austrian Alexander Huber and Robin Seidl defeated Remann-Saxton by sending 2-0 (21-17, 21-14) on board. The Canadian duo will now focus all its
attention on the next SWATCH FIVB World Tour stop in Poland.
