The 2012 Technion Challenge Beach Volleyball Tournament started off on Tuesday, April 3 in Haifa, Israel. In the women's section, US duo of Lauren Fendrick and Brooke Hanson did amazingly well and finished day-1 with 2-0 record. German Britta Buthe and Karla Borger ended up with 1-1, while Liesbeth Mouha and Katrien Gielen of Belgium also won both of their matches. Czech republic remained wihtout any victory on the opening day of the tournament. A total of eight women's matches were played on day-1 of Technion Challenge Cup.
