The CAVB Men's Beach Volleyball Continental Cup
finals are set to take centre stage on the beaches of Flic en Flac in Mauritius
on Friday, April 13. A total of 12 men’s pairs from six countries will be on
board to compete for the ticket to 2012 London Olympic Games.
Third-seeded Angola meets Egypt, while fourth
seeds Mauritius will take on Congo Brazzaville in the quarterfinal matches on
Friday.
With only six countries participating in the finals, both South Africa and Nigeria received a bye on the opening day of the competition.
The Technical Meeting was held on Thursday evening, which was attended by participating countries. Mauritius Volleyball Federation president Kaysee Teeroovengadum and referee delegate Drago Peslac and the CAVB Beach Volleyball director May Alaa were featured as the special guests of the meeting.
National and international media were also present at the official meeting of CAVB.
