San Marino bags first victory at the 2012 CEV Junior Volleyball Championship – Volleyball News

The final round of Small Countries Division at the 2012 CEV Men’s Junior Volleyball Championship is underway in Motherwell, Scotland. The tournament entered third day on Thursday, April 5 and three matches were played. One of the matches featured San Marino and Northern Ireland.

San Marino proved to be better in the game and posted 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-12) victory over Northern Ireland. It was the first victory for San Marino in the competition. Northern Ireland won its previous match against Ireland but failed to overcome Sam Marino squad.

BENVENUTI Lorenzo of San Marino was named top scorer of the match as he contributed 21 points.

Cyprus wins third match in row at the 2012 CEV Junior Volleyball Championship – Volleyball News

The pre-favourite team of the 2012 CEV Men’s Junior Volleyball Championship Cyprus clinched success in third consecutive match, which held on Thursday, April 5 in Motherwell, Scotland. Cyprus defeated host Scotland in straight sets of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-13. The match decision was out in 64 minute of the game. MOSCHOVAKIS Georgios of Cyprus was top scorer of the match with 20 points. The Cypriots will return to action in the next match against San Marino on Friday. 

Cyprus sweeps Ireland in 2012 CEV Junior Volleyball European Championship match

The men's junior national volleyball team of Cyprus defeated Ireland in the first match of Small Countries Division Final Round on Tuesday. The set scores were: 25-9, 25-7 and 25-11.
Scottish City Motherwell hosted the match.
