Russia claims another victory in a five set thriller – 2012 FIVB World League



Russian ‘army’ continued with success in the second match of on-going 2012 FIVB World League on Saturday. The defending champions downed the hosts Japan in a five-set tiring match and improved to 2-0 in Pool A. 

Russia sent 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 15-12) on board to earned the winning status. Equipped with stupendous support of some 2,000 fans, Japanese men fought bravely but failed to overcome the resilient rival. 

Top scorer of the match added a total of 24 points and he was none other than Pavel Moroz of Russia. Japan’s Yusuke Ishijima registered 17 points and emerged as top scorer on Japan’s side.
