Brazil clashed with Poland in the second match of Pool B and fought a head-to-head battle. After an incredibly close competition, Poland claimed 3-2 victory over Brazil. Poles started off well and captured the first two sets by posting 25-22 and 27-25 on board.
However, Brazil came up with improved performance and captured the next two set, 27-25 and 25-22. In the fifth and final set of the match, Poland scored 15-12 and settled for match victory. More than 7,000 spectators witnessed the match.
