One of the top players of Brazilian Men’s National
Volleyball Team Murilo Endres, who was down with should injury, is set to
rejoin the team after receiving medical treatment at the Brazilian Volleyball
Development Centre in Saquarema, Rio de Janeiro.
He missed the first-week action at the 2012 FIVB World
League, which took place in Toronto, Canada. Without the key player, Brazil
failed to deal with the tough rivals and ended with 2-1 record. Teams from Poland and
Canada defeated Brazil in the opening two matches. Nonetheless, Brazil managed
to edge out Finland in the third match.
“I realized Brazil had less match rhythm than the other
teams. We wish to improve in the next week and keep getting better until the
Olympics.”
“Since the team returned from Canada, I started to
practice alongside the group waiting for Bernardo [Rezende’s, Brazil coach]
decision,” Murilo revealed. “I am feeling good and I want to play.”
Murilo is back in the team now and he is supposed to
showcase his skills in Katowice, Poland that is set to host the second-week
matches from June 1-3. Let’s wait and see, if Brazil can cover the deficit of
previous matches with the help of Murilo.
