Thailand women’s national volleyball team kicked off the second round of FIVB
World Grand Prix with 3-1 victory over Puerto Rico (25-18, 19-25, 25-11, 25-19).
Komaki in Japan hosted
the match and more than 450 spectators were in presence. Thailand claimed opening
set of the match before Puerto Rico created the tie in second set. However,
Thailand cruised past to victory after making back-to-back wins in the
following two sets. The match decision came out after a game of 1 hour and 38
minutes.
Onuma Sittirak was named the top-scorer of the match as she
charted match-high 21 points.
Sarai Alvarez, on the other hand, added 13 points in Puerto
Rico’s score.
