Germany clinches success after losing one set to Finland – European Olympic Qualification Tournament



Finland gave a tough time to Germany in the second match of 2012 European Men’s Olympic Qualifiers on Wednesday but failed to stop the in-form German squad. Finnish team could only secure one frame in the four-set match, which was not enough to save them from loss. Germany pulled off success with three sets to one, 3-1 (31-29, 25-19, 21-25, 25-16).

Germany claimed first win of the tournament on the opening day when German studs defeated Slovakian counterparts. In the next run, the team carried the momentum and improved to 2-0 in Pool II by winning against Finland. 

 

Spain sends Slovenia to first loss at the 2012 European Olympic Qualifiers


Men’s national volleyball teams from Spain and Slovenia met in the opening match of 2012 European Olympic Qualification Tournament at Arena Armeec in Sofia, Bulgaria on Wednesday.
The passionate Spaniards gave out a terrific performance and finished the match in consecutive sets. The final set score were 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18).

Bulgaria profits the home advantage and defeats Serbia – Volleyball News



The host of 2012 European Men’s Olympic Qualification Tournament Bulgaria bagged second victory of the tournament by hammering Serbia on Wednesday. The packed-up Arena Armeec competition hall in Sofia hosted the match, while hosts totally benefitted the competitive edge.
Bulgaria posted 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-23) victory Serbia and improved to 2-0. In the next run, Bulgaria will play its last pool-play match on Friday. The home team is tipped to reserve a berth in the final round of the tournament.

Germany stamps 3-0 win over Slovakia at the European Olympic Qualifiers – Volleyball News


Germany took a winning start at the 2012 European Men’s Olympic Qualification Tournament, which got the green light on Tuesday. 
German hotshots finished their opening match in straight sets and sent opponents from Slovakia to first loss in the tournament. Germany improved to 1-0 in the competition by posting 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-20) win over Slovakia. 
Bulgarian City Sofia set up the field of play for the match, while all the action was staged at Arena Armeec competition hall.

Bulgaria overcomes tough rival Slovenia in the opening match of European Olympic Qualifiers


In the opening match of 2012 European Men’s Olympic Qualification Tournament on Tuesday, host Bulgaria defeated visiting Slovenia in straight sets. 

Bulgaria earned the winning status by posting 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-22) on board. The home team was supported by a crowd of 6,000 at the Arena Armeec hall in Sofia City. Bulgarian team delighted the home fans with a winning performance and improved to 1-0.
