The city of Myslowice in Poland hosted a wonderful match of the FIVB Beach Volleyball U23 World Championships on Thursday, June 12th, 2014.
The dynamic duo of Angela Lobato Herrero and Paula Soria Gutierrez secured an important win by defeating counterparts from Canada. They earned victory over their biggest competitors for top seed in pool D: Taylor Pischke and Melissa Humana-Paredes. Lobato/Soria were down one set, but successfully managed to come back and win the tiebreak: 19-21, 21-18, 15-13.
“This was a very important win”, Lobato said. “Because if we win tomorrow we will pass as the first team. We are really happy because it was a very tough match, as was the match this morning against Russia.”
